Janeites and period dance enthusiasts have put their assembly balls on video and upped them to YouTube. Some are strict call-by-call shots of the dances, but there's one that's terrifically amusing, as the director(s) took a few liberties. Granted, in that one, many of the attendees seem to be cavorting with all the decorum of full-force Lydia Bennett, but the general absence of farby attire and the fantastic antique fashions might make up for that.
